Lisbon built on seven hills - significant accessibility challenge despite good public transit. Cobblestones throughout historic areas can be very difficult for wheelchairs (vibration, uneven surfaces). Alfama particularly challenging terrain. Many buildings historic with limited accessibility despite elevators. Summer extremely hot (35-40°C / 95-104°F). Tram 28 and tourist areas have pickpockets - stay vigilant. Not all restaurants and small shops accessible. Some viewpoints require stairs despite accessible alternatives existing.
